Walking Across The Seven Sisters

It is no surprise to any of us that exercising is beneficial to our health. Yet it seems that many of us do not find the time to, or are simply just to lazy to get up and do something. It's (somewhat) understandable. Why leave the comfort of our households to get sweaty, smelly, and most likely experience muscle pain afterwards? I must admit the gym is not an environment that suits me, but exploring nearby nature is a great way to view gorgeous sightings, and increase one's fitness level. As an attempt to become less lazy, on a sunny Saturday morning, I deemed it a good idea to walk across the Seven Sisters, from Seaford to Eastbourne.

Though some would call it a hike, most would call it a walk. There are some inclinations, yet none which are very steep. It requires time of your day, perhaps 6h including pauses for swimming and eating, and it is important to notice that you will not end up where you started. I observed many seniors walking along the same path as me, so it couldn't possibly be that difficult, right?

I will not lie, I was getting out of breath from going uphill for a while, but as soon as I reached the top of one of the 'Sisters', the view was so incredible that any effort put in was more than worth it.

Eventually I reached this charming lighthouse, indicating I was about two-thirds into my walk.

Going off-track is part of my nature, and upon seeing a smaller path on the side I had to go explore it. I'm glad I did, for I discovered a rather empty beach which was simply stunning. A bit of a hassle to get to, yet upon arriving I couldn't help but feel at peace and appreciative of my surroundings. Definitely the highlight of the day.

Once I returned home, smelling of sea salt, tired, and hot from the day's activities, all I could think of was which natural feature near me I'd next explore. Turns out exercising wasn't too bad after all.
