I have great memories, good and bad, some learning experiences and some that I'll take with me the rest of my life. I would like to bring up one of them when my Headmistress caught us red-handed while eating our lunch in the morning prayer time.
We used to keep all our lunch boxes in a corner of our classroom. It was our routine task, tasting our lunch foods in the morning prayer time itself and will fight for the best lunch box during lunch time. The owner won’t get any for lunch.
That was a refreshing day for most of us. One of my friends brought Biryani and he gave us a hint. We decided to hide the box under my table so that nobody would search under for it. As usual, the prayer song started. we were waiting for the lengthiest song of the day and opened the box at the right time. But the aroma exposed the existence of the Biryani. My friend who was sitting in front of my row couldn’t resist with the smell and he knew that he is not going to get even a single rice from us. So he turned back and dug up a handful of Biryani and started eating vigorously. Then another guy who was sitting next to him grabbed the lunch box and jumped out of a grille-less window next to him and starting eating the Biryani, sitting in full squat position
Our Headmistress came from no-where and seized his hair and she shouted: “This is the school for students not for monkeys ”. Rapidly he replied, “ Oh!! that's why your husband was not studied in this school”. At onceWe all started giggling and her face became red. She dragged him into the classroom and called the class leader to write down the names who were eating in the class.
Unfortunately, I was the class leader and my hand was oily with some Biryani rice. She went to her peak and shouted where is the assistant leader. My assistant stood up and she asked what is your name? With the mouth full of Biryani and couldn’t answer. Now the situation got changed, She couldn’t control and got stomach pain from laughing.
We all laughed until we cried….
The Best thing about memories is making them.
