Charity work and the importance of reciprocity

I am a member of a Charity called Charity Educational International (CEI). CEI is a registered charity in Scotland. We fund a college in Bangladesh for over 1200 students. We have a health centre and we employ doctors and a nurse. We are currently raising money to buy an ambulance for the Health Centre.

I have recently raised some money to build three classrooms for a primary school in a deprived area of Bangladesh. Part of the money was raised through writing my book, Wind Beneath You Wings.

Before this I didn’t know how to create and publish a book. It was unchartered territory…

But again, a higher force was guiding me and I met the right people to assist me in getting my book published. I aligned my guidance system through working on myself. This meant I was able to listen clearly and follow the decision through without a doubt.

I have also supported local charities such as children in need, Marie Curie and others.

I believe that when we have made our successes, often through the support others have offered us, it is important to practice giving gratitude back to our communities and the world.

Bad decision taught me a great lesson!

Some years ago I had a business partner who let me down and took me back to square one. This was not the best time of my life, but again, my inner guidance motivated me to get back on track.

The positive aspect of this partnership was that it was a development lesson in my life. Sometimes, the best lessons are learned while we are on a rough road. Take your lessons with you and leave the rest behind. Lessons make you stronger, wiser and a good businessperson!

Since then I have met people who have sought a partnership with me. But my intuition, which I have learned to trust deeply, has warned me not to enter into these particular partnerships.

Somehow, I knew that these would not be beneficial for me in the long run. Regardless of how great these proposals sounded – what I felt told me the truth. The inner voice spoke loudly and resolutely.

Final nugget of the day…

Whether in their personal life or in business, people often fear failure. But I have a different definition of the word. True failure is not trying.

Always follow your instincts in life. Even if you cannot see why this will lead you to the right path at the present moment, having faith in yourself will ensure that everything will come right in the end.

As business people, we are often faced with the question: should I do this? Will this decision produce long-term gains?

We all have to takes risks in life. The best we can do is to develop our emotional intelligence and trust that our intuition will steer us towards success.

Finally, no man or woman is an island. We must learn how to be confident in ourselves, but also how to appreciate the support that others will offer us. I am grateful for my family and friends who I have met on my journey. To them I want to say: Thank You.

Do you want to tap into your spiritual leadership qualities?

If you want to improve your business and balance your health and wellbeing more effectively, I offer coaching to tap into those qualities.

If parts 1, 2 and 3 of my journey have resonated with you, please share this with others.

Love and Peace
