Good God, keep blogging it's harder than I thought, proud of my boyfriend @exyle, he does that everyday.

But lemme start it.

Thinking about my new diet - or new nutritional education as we call it in Brazil - I try to recall how the ideal meals looked like back then. Yes, brazilian, because this South American body doesn't lose weight like a Dutch girl, this way I need to think and eat like if I'm in my home country.

Still in Brazil, I'd wake up everyday and have my breakfast. I believe I used to eat the same breakfast since I was kid. That would be something like this:

A loaf of bread, ham and cheese or butter, milk with chocolate or coffe, tea, and a piece of fruit. Seems a lot, but we believe breakfast is the most important meal, so I must be generous.


A "snack" three hours later, a fruit or tea/coffe. That simple.

Two hours later, lunch.
In Brazil, differently than Holland, we have warm meals.
In the right picture above, you can see a tipical brazilian lunch - well, at least where I used to live.
Rice and beans, a salad (any) and meat (any). EVERY DAY!
It can change of course, sometimes different beans or different salads, never with fat sauce. The meat was mainly beef and chicken. And that's it.

During afternoon we have another snack, but this time more similar to breakfast. Usually coffee, bread or a piece of cake. If it's hot enough, add a super cold juice.

At dinner, you repeat the same as your lunch. YES! THE SAME. No mistake. The slight change here is that now the portion of salad is bigger than the portions of rice and beans, and meat. We try to make dinner lighter for a better night of sleep. I still remember my grandma saying "indigestion gives you nightmares", and she was damn right.

It was so simple back then. If I wanted to lose weight I'd just have to reduce my portions and cut the treats on weekend. It was so organized and certain, I knew what to do... I still do, right?

Since I moved to Holland I lost the track, I changed for better in so many aspects, but with my eating habbit I might be downgrading - time to change.

In a few hours I'm going to have dinner again, not matter what is the temptation today, I need to return to my roots and I'm sticking with rice and beans just like the old times. I might not need to get back home to change it, but home is coming back tonight, and this is going to transform my life again.

Those snacks are too healthy for me .... i miss bacon.. hahaha..getting in shape definitely isnt easy ! The mind will play a major role...mhmmm all the cravings !! what is life without foood >??

I miss bacon too!!! My body is screaming for bacon, burgers, melting cheese. But I need to keep strong for now. But hey, there are other healthy delicious food out there too. Life IS food!

You know what's a good combination ? Working out and eating food ! Hahaha I love cheat meals man .

Already working out haha I need to focus on healthy food now, since I've had only cheat meals in the past years lol but couldn't agree more

Maravilha :D Aqui no nordeste além do feijão com arroz, temos a macaxeira (mandioca), inhame e o cuscuz que dão uma boa sustentação tanto pela manhã como no almoço :) Sucesso na dieta Bianca!

Comemos muita mandioca com carne no sul. Amo! Para minha alegria encontro com muita facilidade produtos brasileiros aqui, então sempre tem. Ah e cuscuz eu aprendi a comer aqui com minhas amigas do nordeste, uma delícia que só!

Uma boa além da alimentação é você combinar com alguns exercícios. Depois com calma dá uma pesquisada nos exercícios chamados "HITT" , é como uma série de exercícios práticos e rápidos de circuito. Boa sorte na dieta mais uma vez, saúde! :)

Eu voltei a academia essa semana, estou bem feliz. Anos atrás quando perdi peso fiz HITT, obtive muito resultado. Assim que melhorar meu condicionamento voltarei a fazer. Obrigada pela dica!
