Christmas Eve Monopoly - Dethroned!!

in life •  7 years ago  (edited)

We have a Christmas Eve tradition of playing a game of Monopoly before sensing the kids off to bed. My youngest has a small collection of Monopoly boardgames, and this year we tried out his Aussies version. I am was the reigning champion

This one was pretty cool. It came with bank cards and a credit/debit machine. No cash to get crumpled up and lost.

A couple of wines and chocolates went down well.

After a bit of bad luck paying out a lot of money, my games went from bad to worse, and I came stone last!! I had been dethroned in spectacular fashion, and boy was I let know by my ultra-competitive family.

All fun and games!! I'll be back next year with a vengance!!_bmj_teamaustralia_1680x8400.png

Hahahaha
We played cluedo 😊

Nice! Maybe I should change to Cluedo as well!! 😂😂

Oh dear bad luck, statistically it had to happen sometime though right ;D Amusingly @shadowlioncub and his cousin (younger by 2 years) were playing Monopoly yesterday just before we left to come home. They didn't get to finish the game unfortunately but their Pop and cousin's dad took over so that the cousin was able to keep playing while we left.

I'm kind of curious about how that credit/debit machine works now, we've only ever played the cash variety.

And now I wonder when a cryptocurrency Monopoly will be made XD

Monopoly is quite fun when you're winning... quite frustrating when you're not.

The card machine is pretty clever. You insert the card into one side to add money to it, and into the other side to deduct. The cards have different etchings on them for the machine to identify them. Pretty clever, but makes the game move a bit slower.

I suppose there are enough coins out there to make a cryptopoly version too😁

Cryptopoly! XD

And then out of sheer curiousity I had to look up cryptocurrency board game and apparently there is one or at least one being worked on (I'm not very clear on this XD

If it exists or exists at some point in the future I may have to look at it.
