Lucid Dreams
Humanity maintains a desire to understand in order to accept and his is definitely the case when it comes to dreams given the extensive research that has been done over the years on this topic, I mean let’s face it, is there really a point in stereotyping and categorizing the different types of dreams other that understanding them slightly better or even understanding ourselves better?
Dreams has always been something that I have been fascinated with, and I love taking a little time out first thing in the morning and reflecting on my dreams.
And the one type of dream that I have quite often is Lucid Dreams.
What exactly is a lucid dream?
A lucid dream can be described as a dream where the person sleeping is actually aware that they are in a dream state. These dreams are normally very realistic and things in your dreams even feel real (– hence the term VIVID dream), despite the fact that characters and things will often be greatly exaggerated.
The things I love most about vivid dreams:
Because you remain completely aware that you are dreaming you are also aware of your actions in the dream, this makes it possible to actually manipulate the outcomes of your dreams in stead of just taking a backseat to the show.
What other types of dreams are there:
There are various categories of dream types other than Lucid dreams, and I will be doing a short series on them in the near future, here is a short list of dream types:
• Psychological Healing Dreams
• Belief Dreams
• Problem-Solving Dreams
• Physiological Dreams
• Dreams of Daily Life
• Compensatory Dreams
• Recurring Dreams
• Psychic Dreams
• Nightmares
I hope that you enjoyed this short piece
My dreams can be very vivid and I remember them well, but I don't think I have ever had a lucid dream.

Sometimes I write about and share my lucid dreams on steemit. One of my first posts was a very NSFW dream I had and it's still probably one of the most vivid dreams I have ever had. I believe many of my old dreams were subconscious healing and some of the ones I have now are more about guidance. I don't ever like to assume "I've done all my healing work," but I rarely have those deeply repressed emotional healing dreams anymore.

that is an asstounding way to look at it, I think I still have quite the journey before reaching that state.

I've had a few lucid dreams, but my all time favorite was a couple years ago--somehow standing in a bathroom looking at a distorted mirror triggered my mind to realize I was in a dream, and the moment I did I ran straight out of the strange house thinking "I can fly" hahaha, and as soon as I hit the lawn I leapt and flew. Flying dreams are crazy because even when they're not lucid I can always remember how it felt when I wake up--how would I know how it feels to fly unless it's something I've actually done? In another life :)

Oh wow, that is a super dream. Or maybe even your subconsious view of the world resembling a state of flight that your physical form can assosiate with? Guess we will never know for sure... thank you for sharing

I am a frequent lucid dreamer. I attribute it to my day dreaming practice to go to sleep. I may have to write a blog about this. You missed one type of dream and that is Vision. I have also had time travel and those are absolutely nuts.
