Our weekend went quick, but then again, that seems to be the norm. It had its highs and lows, so here is the recap.
On Friday night, my wife went to prepare for a Saturday event - a bridal shower for my youngest brother's fiancée. After work, I watched the kids from 6 until bedtime, which is only 8:30, but was an eventful 2.5 hours. Dinner went fine, and all was going pretty good until disaster struck. I had both kids in the bathtub and clean and was about to pull out 10 month old Kendra, when she pooped in the bathtub! Boo! Of course, she has never done that before, so I didn't even know where to begin. I took them to our other bathtub and showered them off to get clean, and then dealt with the bathtub mess when they were asleep. This was the low point of the weekend for sure! When my wife got home at 9:30, I mostly had things under control, but man, kids are soo much work sometimes!
On Saturday, my wife went to the bridal shower event, and was gone from 8:30am to 3pm, helping with setup and tear down. I had one of my other brothers and his two young boys over, so the cousins got to hang out for a while. Although the house was a big mess, we had fun and I ordered pizza for lunch to make things easy on ourselves. Here is one example of the mess, though I should have gone through the house to get more pictures:
We hung out and relaxed the rest of Saturday evening, and on Sunday we had some friends over to our house, who have 3 kids. After playing inside for a bit, the kids wanted to go outside, run around and get wet. So we did that the rest of the day, and grilled bratwursts and hot dogs for dinner and ate in the backyard.
All in all, a good weekend!

Kids can be a lot of work sometimes, but I think that's normal. Being so naughty and disorderly is part of childhood and how they live it. Despite this situation, I think you had a great time eating pizza and then having a nice time with the family on Sunday.

I only saw one photo, but with four children in a house what you showed cannot be called a mess. It is simply a normal state of a house...
Be happy and enjoy your children/nephews. They will grow up very quickly and then all you will have are memories and some photos...

Friend, how are you? I see that you had a very hectic weekend but the important thing that your children enjoyed that disaster because for them that is happiness although for you it is more work the important thing is the binestar of your children.

Dude, I've been there before. Actually, I would take the straight up poop in the tub any day over the explosive diarrhea that my kids have had in their pants a few times. I'm talking after diapers are gone. There is nothing worse than having to undress them in the tub and deal with the disgusting clothes as you are going along. The struggle is real. Dad fun the max.
