The remainings......

This is s picture of a full life, a life filled with rich memories. A man with great humor and an ever greater view in life.

He passed away a few weeks ago at the age of 93. He was our neighbour and friend. He longed for a talk every morning when I would go out for a walk with the dogs or when I was ready to go to work.

He is no longer with us. He left for his journey to heaven. Now there is a void, no talks about the weather or life in general. Just the remainings in a dumpster waiting to picked up and thrown away. It’s a sad view ! A whole life on one pile. I shed a tear just watching this sad scene. I made a picture to do this blog. In black and white, to express my emotions. I got a present. The old sewing machine of Simons late wife Anne. For the #needleworkmonday projects I say! I know he loved my needlework cause it’s a dying trade among younger people in his eyes. Simon will be missed, replaced by a family much younger than him and us and with a brand new baby. The Next generation is bound to make memories where the old memories stopped, it will take me time to adjust and get used to the new situation.

Sometimes a photo says more than words. Goodbye Simon you will be missed. Give me some time, but please enjoy life and be nice. Life is so much too short, be aware .....
