The days before Thanksgiving.

I am in North Carolina visiting my family - two sons and their families. Down here, today was a beautiful sunny day.

While my friends up in NY are suffering in the cold and watching the snow come down. 1-3 inches today I have been told. I am relaxed and having a good time here, chatting with my grandson and his girl friend.

We went to Old Navy, I got my finger stuck in a small sized ring I tried on. Luckily my daughter-in-law had the idea that Windex could help loosen it. I went to the dressing room and asked them for some window spray - they looked a bit puzzled that a customer would be asking for window spray, but they finally relented and found a bottle and I happily sprayed my finger and got the "little monster" off my finger. My finger was beet red and very sore, but I managed to save it, so I could purchase the next ring size up - Medium. Ah!

We then went to "Cook Out" for lunch. For $5.00 I got a spicy chicken/cheese quesadilla, onion rings, a large bottled water, and some cole slaw. It's all drive thru, so we ate in the car, but pretty good value for the money. NY doesn't have any Cook Out places.

We traveled on to Ollie's, a discount store. Walked around the store and found some cool stuff. My grandson treated me to some shower gel, which was discounted 15%; he has an Ollie's card.

Now I am sitting on the couch, in a nice warm living room, typing my "report" of the day. I guess I could do something like this every day, but my guess is it might get a bit boring. So see you in my next report on something a bit different. Have a blessed rest of the day too.
