Proud Owner of a New House!

My wife and I are proud owners of a new house today! Pretty exciting times. The house was a foreclosure so we think we got a pretty good deal on it but the house needs a lot of work. It's not super old, is in a great neighbourhood and is close to my wife's favorite restaurant. We will have to do some renovations before moving in but it was pretty exciting getting the keys today.

Now we just need to figure out what we can afford to do for renovations. Before we move in the kitchen and one of the bathrooms will need to be renovated. I know the kitchen is going to be an expensive undertaking but the kitchen is the second worst part of the house and we really want to have a ice kitchen. We've been living in a house that doesn't have much room in the kitchen and it would be amazing to have enough room for both of us to be using the kitchen at the the same time. This house is quite large and has lots of space to work with so I'm hopeful we can accomplish everything we want.

The second project will be remodeling one of the bathrooms. There is a bit of damage in the main bathroom and instead of patching it all back up I think we'd be much happier in the long run with redoing the entire bathroom.

The worst part of the house is the master bedroom but it's livable for the time being. We would like to renovate it at some point but right now we'd settle for the kitchen and a bathroom.

I'm very excited about our new home and can't wait to see what we can do with it!
