Ducks Outside Our Farm

Hi Steemians and Cabalens,

Happy weekend. Earlier today I went and walk myself to the shallow river nearby. I was looking for some inspiration to write and blog about then this scene came to my attention

Oh how can I forget about our itiks. That is what we call them. After they had passed their prime, we have no other option but to let them go so they live outside of the poultry farm. Writing that now already makes me feel sad. Sometimes there are decisions that need to be made no matter what. On the business side of this issue, a duck that is no longer laying the x amount of eggs in a given x amount of days is causing loss than bringing in profit. I learned about this when I asked my husband out of curiosity. I pity the ducks living in the wild but I believe that is the best option for them. Free range living are you with me still? 😚

Outside of the farm they are free to forage for food and swim with gusto. But, I Know that there are some risks for them and for us the owners. Nevertheless everything is manageable and sustainable.

They may appear to be big in number but the ducks inside the farm are far greater in number sharing the space.

Running out of battery gotta get back home
