There are many people that are like this, growing-up, going to school, making a career, earning, and then not much savings either they are living paycheck to paycheck, being so generous while they are still earning, and will only rely on social pension when they retire. That is why some people would try to marry for the reason that their offspring will probably take care of them particularly here in my country where family ties are closer, well at least for immediate family members where your other relatives and friends can just help much during that crucial time of need. In my view, for a single or unmarried individual like me, I must make it sure that I have a solid thing to fallback in cases where I will be left more vulnerable and for this issue that I know that I might face anytime, it pays to give myself an assurance that in that scenario I am prepared already. I am the few lucky ones that ever to have my future backed by something that I know will save me from certain hopeless situation and I do thank God for it because it makes me valuable to the eyes of the people that knows my net worth financially and might even compete to take me in so that they can get a piece of the "physical" value that I hold.
