I Am Still Not Sure If I Would Receive The Government Money Grant That They Told Us We Would Receive

The president of the Philippines had recently announced that I in particular, a person with disability (PWD) as well as my parents because they are already both a senior citizen here in my country will receive money grant from what they call a "Social Amelioration Program".

It is an aid for us because of the lockdown situation here in my country where resources now are scant, we cannot buy freely the things that we need like even if you order online. Only the essential goods and services are allowed to function and yet my Vitamin C is not being delivered yet.

So it will help me a lot because I needed medicines for my bone condition not to mention for my dialysis needs, foods, and other necessities. The money is one of the biggest that our government had given.

I Hope That I Am Not Waiting For Nothing

The problem is that they are giving out fill-out forms per family and not all family can receive a form. But it should not be per family but for qualified individuals like the day workers, PWDs and Senior Citizens, and other displaced sector of society particularly the poorest of the poor.

I might not be one of the poorest of the poor for now but certainly I am qualified to relieve the money grant. The problem is that me and my parents are not receiving anything, we should be receiving for each of us but now there is no sign of the grant.

I guess that the local government unit (The "county in equivalent " and or the town Mayor most especially will benefit a lot from the corruption in this regard. It is just bad that the president is giving the benefit of the doubt and that he is trusting these LGUs to distribute the money to the qualified citizens that needs the financial assistance.

For now we are still waiting but if I will not then I know that there had been a corruption issue that happened already. It is just good that I am not really so dependent on anyone about my financial needs for now while I still have something to spend. But I needed money especially now that I have a special need because of my disabilities.
