My dialysis clinic told us patients which are being treated from there to provide our (CBC) or complete blood count lab test result. The reason is that it is a requirement for us to get some free EPO injection from the charity service of the government which in tandem works with our dialysis clinic and these two works together for our benefit. We are only getting four pieces of 4,000 I.U of the said hormone injection which is needed by the patients in order to raise the level of red blood cells and hemoglobin contents of those crucial blood cells in order for the majority of the dialysis patients not to lose so much red blood cells which if left unabated will cause them to die. I had witnessed that tragic case which happened to my co-patient and the story was being told by the head nurse of our church's clandestine dialysis clinic. Apparently the old poor man has no idea on how to proceed about pre-processing the blood bags which he acquired from a branch of the local red cross. It is just a simple cross-matching test and gets done by just by going to a blood or laboratory which can be found anywhere, to have some of his blood taken and do the cross-matching test in order to see if his blood matches with the blood bags that he got. He was not able to get it done because he have no clue nor our past head nurse and her resident doctor husband back then had the littlest care to simply told him what to do. Than also part of the problem was his family whom I am sure does not have any clue on how that simple task can be done. My poor co-patient which is already white in anemia died as a result because the blood expired without being cross-matched, tragic and sad and could have been prevented as well regardless his current old age back then.
That is why I am a bit concerned about my blood and the picture above shows that I do have issues to get concerned about. If you look at this results and you are a normal "healthy" person, the doctor might say, "We have a problem here", it is because of some of the values in the CBC test result which doesn't agree with having a normal bill of health like the low platelet count and the RBC count, typically screams an imbalance in the system of the body, one of the organs has a problem, malnutrition or it could be anything that causes it. However if a Nephrologist sees it and you are a dialysis patient, the doctor will say "that's ok" because they typically look at the hemoglobin levels which in this case for my own CBC test result is within the normal range.
My concern is that I have a low red blood cell count (RBC) which I needed to give more oxygen to my body's cells and I seem to have a lower count now and it has been like that always. That is why I am consuming vitamin B12 and Folate both in Methyl form so that I would suppose to nudge the numbers of RBCs in my blood. Now I think that I have to adjust my intake of both these nutrients because I was only having them every other day. Now I am doing a once a day regimen and hope that it will make a difference and I have yet to see the results after that, wish me luck. For the lower count of "platelets", I think it is about my intake of 100 mcg vitamin K2 MK-7 but my intake of it is also every other day and so if it goes bad with my platelet count, I might have to reduce my dose which is a dilemma because I might experience a degradation of my bone again and lead again to body pains and worsening of my health condition called Leontiasis Ossea and that is a thing that I do not want to happen. As you can see I am working on a balancing act to my body where if things go and lean more on either side, then I will find myself getting in more health trouble but at least I know what I was doing is much better compared to the treatments or the lack of treatments which I received from my doctors. I can only lean on God to bless my efforts to achieve a better well-being or at least save me from further misery.
