It gives me more hope that I will receive my National ID because my mother got hers just recently. What I am afraid for is that maybe the ID processing machine cannot process my facial appearance. \(〇_o)/

I am happy for my mother because now she has the IDs the she needed for transacting in government and charity offices about her request for financial assistance. It is because her Senior citizen and Philhealth IDs are outdated and always having trouble with the officers whenever she was asked to present them and as always she would say that it was the IDs that she used before and forcing the officers to accept it with some short debate upon the matter, I know because she will always tell us the story when she comes home and narrate what transpired with her transactions with the employees of the said government charity services. I told her that to just update her IDs like her senior citizen's ID as well as her Philhealth ID because those are really outdated and cannot be used anymore particularly with my mother's senior citizens ID where she looks very young compared to her appearance while the old Philhealth ID doesn't have a picture and address, etc.

Pleading my mother before to update her essential valid IDs just fell into deaf ears because of her reason of it being a hassle and the cost of money for going to the respective places in order to make it happen to update her essential IDs until she realizes that it is time to do it because it is causing her many inconveniences already with the said transactions in government charity services from politicians and the PCSO, etc.

So I told her to get some new photos of her and go to our Municipal government and proceed to the Office of Senior Citizen Affairs so that she can update her ID there which is not so difficult to do. About thirteen days ago I asked my parents to drive me to the nearest Philhealth office as I already posted about it, to get my Philhealth ID updated. I just filled-out a simple form and my mother submitted it to the counter, actually she was also asked if she already has the latest Philhealth ID, she told the officers that she also wanted one so she filled the form as well and together we got our new Philhealth ID in a matter of minutes. It is because maybe that we fall under the category of priority because I am a person with disability and my mother is a senior citizen which is why the transaction was fast.

My country's senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWD) are always getting the privilege of express services so we won't get to stand or sit for long on a queue of people because of our physical conditions.

Regarding the application to get our national ID, my mother, my brother, and I both applied at the same time with my insisting to get one so that I can get a non-expiry ID which can be used for both private and public as well as for verification purposes about my online "Know Your Customer" (KYC) that I needed to do for time to time whenever the websites that I use would ask for it. Fist my brother got his already, then for about two years after my mother got her finally, then my father who applied for it later after we applied for ours got his National ID as well. Now I am the only one not receiving considering that we had applied at the same time with my brother and my mother. Because of that I think that the IDs are processed randomly but because my ID is in the system already, maybe it is just a matter of time that my ID will get delivered too.

I know now for sure that national IDs are processed randomly because of the system that the government is doing it.

I like the value of the National ID because I do not have to go and renew it after several years because of its non-expiry feature where if you want things to get updated, it is the only time that you will renew it but maybe good luck on when it will delivered to your doorsteps. Also by the time that all deliveries are done, maybe it will be just the time for requesting a renewal and get your ID after only about a month or two weeks or even at the day that you applied for renewal for updating purposes. The Passport is the king when it comes to verifying your identity everywhere whether online or offline but it is bulky to have it with you all the time because of its size and it costs some big money to acquire it too. The driver's license can be accepted online although not all people like me can get a driver's license because of my physical disability. I have a substantial IDs with me already particularly the persons with disabilities ID which gives me some privileges like discounts for the medicines that I purchase and services that I needed from time to time. I also have my Philhealth ID which gives me confidence that whenever I would go for a government hospital, they will give me a free service just like what happened last April this year of 2023 where I got "zero-billing" from the hospital.

The National ID has a very good feature of being valid forever until maybe you needed to update your photo, address, etc. and is accepted everywhere including for online KYC needs although some websites would ask you present only Passport or driver's license or even the voter's ID which is still valid too as a form of identification. For many banks, you also needed to submit another form of ID together with your national ID in particular.
