Fallen Angel

in life •  6 years ago

This weekend I’ve watched a 2003 movie entitled Fallen Angel and I got carried away.
The movie talks about life as a collection of moments-moments that define us, moments that showed us what could have been and defining moments.
There are also those painful moments, painful enough for us to build walls around us with the hope that it will offer protection and isolation from all the pains of this world. But then can these walls truly protect us?
Reality is that life will always be a series of happiness and sorrows and that we can only embrace this fact and be grateful to have experienced all these emotions because it only means one thing-we are alive.
Today, I am grateful to be alive because it means another opportunity for me to tell my family how much love I have for them, another day to right some wrong, another day to give my son a tight hug, another day to smile at everybody I cross path, with the hope that this smile may brighten their days as it brightens mine.
My long list can go on and on but the most important matter is that I have today to love & to care because to me this is the very essence of living. Hmmmm.... this brought me to the conversation between Lancelot & King Arthur in the movie First Knight when King Arthur told the former that “A man who fears nothing, loves nothing. And if one loves nothing, what joy is there in your life?
But then it’s just a thought...”IMG_20180212_204727.jpg
