I know a person who has taken several years to heal and recover from the death of her husband. If you have lost a loved one, how long did it take you to get over it? Is it okay to hold on to that pain for a very long time? Let me know what you think.

Of course ,a person can not totally let go especially when its a loved one. However, This shouldn't be the case all the time as it can hinder growth.

Thanks for this.

I've come to realize that people react differently to pain.
Personally things really don't get to me so much, I remember when I lost my grandpa, I was sad for sometime, then I wrote about him in my school journal then, that's basically how I deal with every pain, I write exactly how I feel and somehow it slowly goes away.
But on the other hand, 12years after my grandpa kicked the bucket, my brother still cries whenever we go to the village and Papa is no more.

So people deal with pain differently. Writing works for me.

Thanks @Ufakobong.

Letting go of the pain of losing a loved one is never easy.

However, we should accept the things we can't change and change the things we can.

I agree with you @mrposyble. Thanks for stopping by.
