Hello again Steemit

Hello again Steemit folks!!

I admit it, my last attempt at using Steemit didn't go great. I'm going to go with the old "its not you, its me" excuse here. In truth I didn't really know what I was doing. I still don't. However my good friend Declan (you guys may know him as @Condra on here) swears this place rocks and is filled with amazing content and really interesting peeps.... so I thought we might try a second date. I'll be a gentleman this time and even bring flowers.

Ok I lied, there's no flowers.

For the whole 3 of you who might know who I am on here heres a quick update anyway. Its been a good year, actually weirdly good. I didn't make any new years resolutions last year other then promise myself to really work hard at a few different areas as I felt there were a few positive things on the horizon that I was close to achieving. Well, turns out setting your mind to something and working hard at it works pretty well.

I won't go into crazy detail but in brief I turned my health around (lost almost 100 lbs in 2017), bought the car of my dreams, achieved tons on my day job, traveled loads and got engaged to my best friend and my girlfriend of 10 years. So yep, bit of a crazy one, but certainly no complaints. A few of those highlights have kinda cool stories attached to them but I'll save those for another day.

If theres been any negatives its that I didnt get as much time as I'd have liked for photography, but still got quite a bit done. Also this year I promised myself I'd learn a bit about 3d modelling and animation (hence the random 3d text image above). I still kinda suck at it but I'll try to post up my progress and hopefully I'll suck less as time goes on.

So how have you been? Hope your year rocked muchly and that Santa brought you everything you wanted.

Welcome back to Steemit! That is quite the year wow. One or two of those things would be huge, but all that! That will make this year hard to beat. Glad you were convinced to come back, it is a great place. Now yah got 4 people who know ya. Followed

I'm with your buddy @condra; there's great content here; artistic, intelligent, creative...and like you I find the whole crypto stuff very confusing...I totally overthought it, but after only a few weeks here myself, I'm getting the hang of it. I think:) I was looking at your other posts also (the 5 facts) and I gotta say you look great! Congratulations on all of your achievements this past year! And finally, Billy Corgan!! So cool. Ok ok I know I said finally, but I gotta say I love your "voice" in your writing (not stalker creepy love, more like love of the English language love:) I'm so new to steemit that I hope it's ok that I referenced another of your posts here without directly commenting there. Oops if not.

Aww thanks @lynncole1 thats super kind of you. Yep Steemit is starting to seem less of a mystery than I originally thought. Still not fully "there" yet but even after a few days trying to stick with it, it seems less alien so that feels like progress. Thanks again for the super kind words!!
