I had been very busy these past few days trying to reorganize my life, or at least trying to make myself feel comfortable in my new apartment. I'm sorry that I haven't been active on Steemit but I'd be back to writing as soon as I have everything that I need. I just feel very tired moving around and I hope that I will settle here for a while as I get my business going.

I like my new place a lot because it is more peaceful. Peace is the most important thing for me these days. And the beach is just a short bike ride away. Overall, I think my decisions came out as positive and hopefully, things will also turn out fine in the future.

It's almost rainy season so I have more time to write and focus on my website. It's also a chance to meet up with my potential suppliers since they are not so busy now. I'm here because of my business.

I can imagine that the natives have survived long before this place became a touristic destination. I choose to live far from the town because I need solitude and tranquility. I can't stand seeing tourists all the time. Anyway, my place is more decent and cheaper but of course, everything has a price. I just can't have it all. The power here is bad in fact so bad that it cannot power some of my electric appliances. I guess I have no choice but to be self-sustainable. I disposed or sold my modern conveniences which made my life easier in the past, just so I could afford to buy gas for cooking. Anyway, I'm also planning to build my own clay oven or something so I could make some pizza. What do you think?

I'm very thankful for the little internet signal I get which is better outside my apartment. Just in case, I'm near the coffee shops on the beach with stronger wifi connection. But I'm good for as long as I can still write for Steemit. You just don't want to miss my rants, do you? I have farms and lush mountains at the back of my place. Feliz is quite happy by the way! It feels great to be living close to nature. What more can you ask for in life? No wonder the locals here are happier.

If not 100%, the idea is to be self-sustainable in a way. I hope that the current set up of my new apartment will reduce my expenses and energy consumption. I'm also planning to invest in solar panels. It is impossible not to spend money but it would be better if I remain frugal so I can save for more important things in life such as my venture and travel.

I live in the countryside now so it just makes sense to continue with my gardening and growing my own food. This is just part of my self-sustainability plans. I'm quite happy that I will be reducing my expenses since I no longer have access to big supermarkets, shopping malls, and fast-food. I'm content with everything that I have at the moment as long as I have nature, fresh water, shelter and good food. I guess it's the simple pleasures in life that give me real happiness.

I admire your courage to follow your life aspirations. Will keep following you ranting self- sustained girl ;)

Awww thanks for the kind words!

I'm about to make a big move too, next month. From China to the US so it's a big one. I'll also be going from a city to the countryside, at least temporarily. I'm excited about it :-) Hope yours keeps going well

Awww good luck, moving can be exciting even though stressful sometimes!

Indeed, what more can you ask for in life. With all that beach, nature and blue skies all the gizmos and luxuries fade. Another great thing is also that you live away from tourists as these crowded places have some "noisy vibe". These people somehow bring the city with them on vacations. The ones living a simple life like, the locals you mentioned, are always happier and not stressed at all. They see life as it is and let everything happening naturally. Its "the modern ones" that want to force everything to happen over night.
Peace of mind, in my opinion is the best achievement you can have and it seems that it doesn't come from more, but rather from less.

This is so true! Less is more!

The new area looks lovely and the idea of gardening and making pizza in a clay oven, just sounds perfect!

Just out of curiosity in which country you're living now?

Hopefully this accomodation suit you and help you to flourish your business. Every wants peace in his life. Wish you a happy prosperous and peaceful life @diabolika

Thank you for the kind words @kamchore!

Just out of curiosity, what appliances are you having trouble running? Is it tripping the circuit/breakers? The reason i ask is I am in the electrical industry. I am a lineman, and work mainly on the high voltage power lines but have a good knowledge of electricity in the home too.

Self sustaining, is a lot of work, but worth all the effort in my opinion. I admire your attitude and putting your ‘needs’ before your ‘wants’.
Cheers to your new adventure.

I'm just trying to run the refrigerator but I was told that I should have waited for a day or so because I have traveled far. I don't know if that is true?

True, self-sustainability is hard work but I guess it is worth it once everything is running smoothly.

Interesting, I have never heard of not running a refrigerator because you traveled. Was the refrigerator traveling with you? If that is the case then I get it. If the refrigerator was laid on it’s side it messes with the refrigerant and could burn up the fridge when you plug it in.

Yes, I traveled about 300km with the refrigerator. I guess it got messed up and all that. Though I'm pretty sure it was not laid on its side.

Welcome back jungle girl! Here are a couple of portable ovens. I don't think the top one is too expensive if you can find one.
Now that looks like some perfect paddle boarding water!
Good to hear Feliz likes the new diggs:)

Thanks! I think I can find the first one or I can ask someone to build it for me. Feliz is happy, I think...

Good to hear from you. Glad that you are in a better place (at least n regards to feeling peace). Every decision has pros and cons. I know that you will make it through this.

Yes, peace is really important!

I know that you will make it through this.

Aww thanks @sumatranate!

It looks really pretty there.

Haha I used to watch a YouTuber who would cook things in a very old fashioned style and the food always looked really good so that clay oven might be a great idea.

Wherever we go, we just can't let go of pizza, can we? Haha.

Truth.

If you live in the countryside, you are close to nature. You will get fresh vegetables, fresh fruits and fresh air.

I love natural beauty. It's so refreshing and calm. Do what brings you real happiness! :)

True.

I'm content with everything that I have at the moment as long as I have nature, fresh water, shelter and good food. I guess it's the simple pleasures in life that give me real happiness.

I really like those words

wow. i knew you would make it that far. do not stop until everything materializes for you. I still look up to you and all the growth you have achieved.
