Croutons

in life •  7 years ago

Yesterday I made bread. Today I made croutons. Tomorrow I’ll eat soup. It’s not fancy fare, but it’s actually very inexpensive. I have zero cash requirements for 3 days of meals. This helps keep my monthly cash requirements low. a1drjohnthumb.JPG

Generally, I am attempting to live and slowly rotate my pantry stock. An austere lifestyle minimizes social frills.

Few people will follow my lead. Fun drives people. Media shows us people living grand lives in fine clothes enjoying wine, women, and song. If you step back, you can imagine high society in France in 1788 just before the revolution.

Historically, austerity has been the normal state of humanity. This past century may be the exception.

My point is... these are fantastic days. Abundance surrounds us. Inequality within social economic conditions exist, but they seem less dense globally. Steemit is an example of global economic opportunity. Riches may not be probable, but gains are possible.

Meanwhile, my croutons are cooling. Personal sacrifices help maintain balance.

Here is today’s beauty.

Yes, doing without does help maintain balance. I am glad that you mentioned that @dr john. Just look at the benefits that fasting can do for our bodies.

Hmmmmmmm good day to you doctorjohn, how was your day going?
