Greatness Paradox

A paradox is a seemingly absurd or self-contradictory statement or proposition that when investigated or explained may prove to be well founded or true.IMG_0237.JPG

There is a principle that says if you desire to become great, you must become a servant to all. This is what I have labeled the 'Greatness Paradox'.

It is easy to picture a king who has servants close by to provide him with anything and everything. So it is an easy concept to imagine yourself as one of those servants: spending your life fetching goodies and cleaning up messes you did not make. Now consider the infinite obligations if you must treat everyone else with this same position of servitude.

About now, you may begin to question the validity of the paradox. This is an impossible way to live. Considering the needs and desires of others to ALWAYS come first is a bitter way to live. How many homeless starving people require help before you help yourself?

Obviously, this is a very rare approach to life. But it can be done. Living to serve others is the path to greatness.

Here is today's beauty.
