Pausing to reflect on the cycles of life allows me a moment to be thankful for hope. I lived for many years without it, but today there is a song in my heart because of hope. 
Behind this fantastic illusion is the principle of sowing and reaping. This process is on display everywhere. It is as natural as Spring following Winter.
I have hope because I have been planting seeds of love all of my life. Wait! Don’t leave yet. I’ll try to make this practical.
Back to reaping what you sow: Everything you do requires energy. Energy is not lost, but rather it changes form. Think of a grain of wheat. When it is in the ground, the life force within it explodes into a plant that will eventually produce hundreds of new seeds.
When you write a post on Steemit, that energy is not lost. Rather it changes form to transform the lives of others. These seeds of thought hopefully will somehow inspire new thoughts within others.
What seeds are you best prepared to produce? A better question is what are you destined to produce simply because of who you are? Corn produces corn. Apples make apples.
Today is a hazy shade of winter here in Oklahoma. But Spring is coming. Be prepared to bloom and grow. Share the energy within you to inspire others.

Comes down to you can't expect anything without first putting in some effort. My oldest Daughter just finished vacuuming the house so she can play xbox. She did what she was told to do and then turned around and did an extra room just because. She didn't even point it out to me, just did the work.
Tonight after dinner, which she is going to help cook (new cooking with kids post coming), I'll take everyone out for frozen yogurt as thank you for her added effort.
Little rewards for little efforts help a child learn things aren't free in life.

Hope is what keeps us doing things for the future. Hope and love. The knowledge that after winter there will be spring is a hopeful thought.
