Sabotage!
there are two types of goals:
- Abandon goals.. this is when you want to give up something.. like a bad diet.. a bad behaviour.
- Increase goals.. this is when you want to go up.. like get a promotion.. expand business.. buy a house..
chances are people will support you in your abandon goals.. and even when they dont.. they will shame you to it.. so either way you find yourself sticking to the goals..
the problem comes to the second category.. when you want to improve yourself.. many people.. even friends might not be comfortable with the change.. achieving that goal might bring..
so people tend to hide such goals from their friends to avoid SABOTAGE!
now if you have friends that you can't share your 'Increase Goals' with.. because you fear they will be envious and might work for your defeat in the background..
why keep such friends?

what is it about yourself.. that you fear facing.. that you need friends (even bad ones) to distract you from?
those fears are what leads to SELF Sabotage!
