Love the post. I use my personal time to get lost in a good book, with my phone on silent and my lights dimmed. But once in a while I use a technique I learned when I was younger and listen to soft music at a very low volume. It's called auditory training, it causes you to block out all external distractions and focus on the music, putting you into an almost trance-like state. Your heartbeat slows, your blood pressure lowers, and your stress melts away.

oh yes - auditory training is something i use as well a lot as i am on full steem the whole day - I use it when i am going to bed

I could really relate to this. I too need a lot of personal space. I like being alone. Helps me be with my thoughts; be at peace. :)

And best of all just do yoga! it will solve all your problems !

My alone time is a long run. I've worked out quite a few tough issues on the trails. You have a new follower.

I think I might be on the opposite side of the spectrum. The majority of my days are spent alone - work in an isolated environment and don't socialize much outside of that. This also leads to bad moods and negative attitudes at times which is usually relieved with socializing =)

Although sometimes, being social just reminds me of why I am a recluse to being with haha!

Long swaths of unstructured "alone time." As a parent who retrospectively appreciates that, I never feel guilty about providing that to my son.

I totally agree, @dragonho, every person regulary needs to be alone. I am very relaxed when I'm alone. Now near me almost constantly my little son and wife. Although they are very dear to me, yet I feel that I need solitude to recover and come back to myself.

get out 4 times a week for a run or a walk along the river or in a park - it helps me

Good post but I dont agree on "tell people why you need to be alone" That´s just rude. If you are in a relationship and you think you need time to be alone it means you are not confortable in the relationship. As simple as that

Mhh I tell my partner sometimes that I need my space but she needs her space as well - it can even be just being in another room or, daily walk along the river for an hour which is done alone.

For me that a bit strange..I mean...the fact of saying it sounds weird. I agree that we all need time for ourselfs but I don´t know..Anyway #differentpersonalities
