The reason why Christians  celebrate Christmas  is to commemorate the birth of Christ our Lord and Saviour. However,  Historical Theologians have over the years brought to the fore that Jesus wasn't  born December  25, some believe it was January 6 and some believe he was born sometime in October   but  was chosen as a day to celebrate Christ's birth so as not to give the new converts the reason to go back and celebrate  their jewish pagan festival which happens on december 25 and also win more souls.
