A message to Ontario Steemians

Yesterday I posted some news regarding a report concerning the Universal Basic Income pilot in Lindsay Ontario. As part of that post, I started a discussion with @sequentialvibe about some options that the UBI could be implemented. One of the thoughts that I had was that the Steem community in Ontario could have its own project and I suggested a community of roughly 1000 people close to Stratford Ontario. Here is the opening salvo on this topic

Yes i am agree with you incentive is a great force to join the peoples,who help each other and create a community which help each other to better living standard,remove poverty,high standard of education....I join i am in.

While I have suggested this project to occur in Canada, there is absolutely no reason that it could not also be conducted in Pakistan. There are three things that I would insist upon if my "brain power" was committed to additional locations. You have already stated them: to achieve a better living standard for everyone, eliminate poverty, and promote a high standard of education.

I'm in the Owen Sound area. I am hoping to a sizable collection of Ontarions willing to provide input and initial support to the project (merely by voting on some of the posts made by the community).

I can see three areas that would need to be covered to get this project running:

agreement by Shakespeare (or some other small community) to participate
agreement by a sizable community of Steemians (possibly assistance by some whales) to support the project by voting for; delegating to; or using Steem Dollars to purchase merchandise from the community
This is why I have asked to have the post to be resteemed by as many people as possible to build this community of Steemians.
a web platform that would assist in the process. For instance the community would have a list of members who would receive their "dividend" each month. Instead of transferring Steem Dollars to each person individually, it would be nice to have it done automatically or by a simple button press each month. I have tasked the programming team at a company I consult for to look at developing a site to connect to the STEEM blockchain and from there create a number of opportunities.

I agree with your approach. Steem also makes sense as a currency due to it having no transaction fees.
