I'm so lucky that I get to work from home.

First of all, I love my apartment.

I just moved into this place in February from a teeny tiny 4th floor studio walk-up. While you'd think most anything would be an improvement from that, let me tell you something... Apartment searching in NYC is NO JOKE. I expected that nearly doubling my rent and asking only that I have less than a 4th floor walk up, I'd be able to find something better than what I had. I saw more shit holes, excuse my language here but really there's no other way to describe them, than livable spaces. Thankfully, after what felt like months of searching I found my place and I honestly couldn't be happier.

Second, there is no dress code here.

I can roll out of bed and just start working. Or if I'm feeling particularly fancy, I can shower put my pj's back on and start my day. No rules here folks. There are days that I have to be on video conference calls so I have to get myself ready for the day which is often the best motivator to actually shower and do my hair.

Another reason that I enjoy working from home is the actual amount of work I get done.

Not all of it is for work though... I tend to get things done like cleaning my bathroom or rearranging cabinets. Things that I would not want to do if I weren't procrastinating from my actual professional job. I realize some would think that this was actually a downfall but I have to say it's actually really great! We all have days in our professional jobs that we have little to do or have to try and make ourselves look busy. When I have those days, I end up doing stuff around the house. That frees my weekend up for things I want to do instead of things I have to do.

Piggybacking off of the previous point, working from home gives me the flexibility to go to doctors appointments, or go to specific gym classes or even set up appointments from my landlord or the cable guy without taking a sick day. I have the ability to pick the time that I want, that will work with my schedule instead of trying to fit those things in early in the morning or after work like everyone else. It's amazing how much quicker you can get things done when you aren't trying to find an opening in someone else's schedule.

But my most favorite thing about working from home? My colleagues....

I'm working from home tomorrow and looking forward to it. I usually come into the office for work but when I do work from home I also get so much done. It's nice to have the ability to work from home. Cheers!

Sometimes working from an office is just as good as working from home. Both definitely have their pros and cons. But having the option for both is totally best of both worlds! Enjoy working from home tomorrow!

Seems like you have great quality of your working life. Hope to be doing the same soon

Good luck @catskittensrule! Thank you for reading

You're welcome

I really wish you wouldn't share pictures of me rolling on the paperwork. My waistline looks all out of whack.

Ohhh @ekpickle your little cat is so cute. I'm working at home too and my best business partner is Gigi my sweet baby cat. The best wishes for you and your beautiful cat.

Thank you so much! I must admit I'm totally smitten with my kittens. They bring me much joy. Squeeze Gigi for me!
