After everything that went down with the #steemhostiletakeover, one of the greatest lessons I have learnt is to never ever again get emotionally attached to crypto and blockchain projects because things can really switch up on you very fast.
It was a great experience though, it gave birth to #hive, a community that is driven by the same goal which is #decentralization and the strength of a community.
I have since then been trying to be objective in all the projects I'm involved in, supporting those that I believe in, and also trying not to get sucked into the same emotional entanglement mess.
After being a full-time content creator on Steem for 2 years, getting over a platform I truly believed in has been very hard. I can tell it's been so for a lot more people since I don't see them getting involved as much anymore.
In life, we live & we learn.
It's very interesting to just sit back and observe from the back sit. When you start to be objective, you can clearly thinking and see some repeat patterns if any.
In as much as I want to be part of the #decentralization vision, I have learnt to slowly let go and not get emotionally sucked into any other projects.
I am enjoying being part of very many other projects besides #hive, projects like #hex and #dtc, projects who's future I truly believe in.
When you let go, you start to see the potential of other communities too. I am trying as much as I can to equally put the same amount of energy into all projects I believe.
I am also posting on Steem.... Why you ask?
Well, before anything else, I am a content creator. I finally realized some battles are best left to the whales. When you live in a 3rd world currently and you're constantly struggling to make ends meet, it makes no sense to take sides in the name of loyalty when you can potentially leverage all platforms and make more.
I know I may get some back lash on that, but it's my truth and I will speak it.
So if you are out there and feeling pressured to take sides, you really don't have to. I soon came to this realization after watching everything going on objectively.
Life's short, make the best use of every opportunity presented/available to you.
