Heading out of the weekend, I wanted to leave you all with some insight that is probably redundant to what you already know. Being that I believe in the power of thought and encouragement, I figured I'd share again.
ALWAYS BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!!
My weekend has been extremely full with studying for a professional certification I'm working on. The idea and motivation I have right now are things that I feel strongly about and wanted to share. I can't say it enough -- believe in yourself! If you have goals, believe that you can do it!
One of my big goals this year was to finish my Master's degree and get the certification which I will hopefully have on Wednesday. I made a plan and have put my all into accomplishing this goal. Believe me, it has been long, boring, frustrating, tiring, and expensive! However, they are goals that I know will lead to greater things. I want them and I want them bad. I believe in myself and I let that belief drive my motivation and passion to accomplish my goals.
Make goals! Tell yourself that you want something better. If you don't do anything differently or have any goals to do anything differently, you will NEVER have anything different. You will always get what you have gotten. If you want to keep improving, you need a plan. Above all, you need to believe in yourself!
It's easy to make "dreams". One of my old college professors told me, "There's a difference between goals and dreams. Goals require a plan. Dreams don't because they aren't reality." I have TONS of dreams. They might get realized and become reality, but overall, I don't fully expect them. My goals on the other hand absolutely have plans. As mentioned above, I had the goal of finishing my Master's degree in Computer Science this year. I am about to finish my final class and final next weekend and then will have a three month capstone project before being completed. In addition, I still have all A's! Once I was on the path to getting all A's, I turned that into my goal as well.
I hope you all have had a great weekend! Just remember that if you don't believe in yourself, it's hard for others to. Having the positive thought that you can accomplish your goals is so powerful! It keeps your motivation high and you can accomplish anything!
Cheers!
Thanks...keep going and don't quit. Have a great night.
