Vlog #75: Static crypto markets + Steemfat gym day 800cal + Dtube is a possible gamechanger.

in life •  7 years ago  (edited)

I wanted to upload this to Dtube but it didn't work. Talked to the creator and he said they are moving servers. That's fair enough.

I'm using youtube this time. Hopefully for the last time.

Got a text from a friend today saying: ‘Man, static crypto markets bore me’.

I always thought it was just me. But it seems more are suffering from this it appears.

What is static for me is a portfolio that doesn’t move even though we have seen some awesome Bitcoin action this week.

The alt's I hold (including STEEM) suffered a bit because of that but not enough in terms of fiat to buy more.

I should be glad really but even though I'm a long term holder I like to see it go down or up more.

If it goes down it's a good opportunity to add a little more and when it goes up I can start dreaming of financial freedom.

But static...o man...

1 week static in crypto feels like a year.

Maybe I'm just addicted to the action...

Dtube definitely has the potential to be a game changer. Since Youtube has went down the path of demonetization and censorship, a lot of big youtubers's have really felt the pinch. It only takes a few to realize the monetary potential with Dtube and Steemit and the flood gates could quickly open.

I definitely know what you're talking about with this stagnate market. The hardest thing for an investor to do is do nothing. I'm right with you here as I'm exactly the same way. Ben Graham said the hardest thing about investing is overcoming yourself. Times like this test our metal.

I'm really glad you brought up the point about Steemit and the "blogging" marketing angle. I've never seen the blogging aspect as being the ticket to mainstream adoption b/c only a very small amount of people blog. People would much rather watch than read. A majority of people would also much rather watch, read and vote than actually blog or post.

I've also felt that Steemit could market Steem as the" every day use", digital currency of the future. It's already performing more daily transactions than any other currency and is lightening fast with no fees. What better case study than to simply watch how it performs each and every day. It could also be marketed as a financial product. That's how I kind of look at my Steem Power. Just a small saving account that earns me interest and dividends daily. Steemit has so many incredible positives that solve real world problems right now that people aren't aware of b/c it's looked at as a "paid to blog" social media site. But it has much, much more, when in fact the blogging aspect might be the least important one of all. Being as nichey as you can helps eliminate competition, but if you want to appeal to a larger audience you have to promote every day solutions to every day problems. Just about everyone makes financial transactions online on a day to day basis today. Could Steem fit the bill here? These are some questions I've been asking myself. You have a much deeper knowledge of Steem and it's capabilities than I, so I'd love to here your take on this man.

You know that is a very good point. I have stopped checking my portfolio so much because it wasnt really moving. In fact I was bored but now that I read that term. I realise that yes, I was bored of a static market!

I am the same in work. I keep thinking, no. I would love to get out of the race and let crypto carry me!

Just getting to the end of the vlog. That is a tricky subject the uploading of videos to dtube. Especially with people monetizing from it! Get that shower!

Uploading works perfectly now! It's great.

I am definitely going to give it a try. Now will just have to come up with something to record

Great to see you back at the gym doing some cardio. Keep up the great work dude since we can see it is paying off as well as you how to somehow cover all those beers and great meals over the last few days. However you burn mad amounts of calories every gym session

I agree that the outside is better than the inside but I guess dogs just do what they want to do. What is the dog called by the way?

Amazing to see you were able to complete a mud run before. Seems like something pretty difficult and maybe one day you can do it again and get another cool shirt haha

The market movement at the moment is absolutely crazy. It keeps fluctuating up and down constantly and nothing really seems to be purely going up or going down which is annoying when there is a stand still.

At least you are carrying on with your job which definitely is he smart think allowing you financial security. I haven't invested much into crypto yet but I hope over these few months I can accumulate a couple of coins and hopefully it pays off in the long term

Steem has been staying static for these past couple of days not gaining that much but I guess we have to be more patient.

I think that having dtube is great. It leads to steem being desirable for a larger audience and it may be the alternative people need from other Video streaming platforms.

Another great vlog @exyle

The dog name is Trevor.

I remember playing on the fiat market during the dot-com days. Every stock you invested in made money. It was fast and furious.

After the dot-com crash, many moved their money into more traditional fiat investments. It was like driving on the autobahn and then turning off into a traffic jam. There was no adrenaline, just patience and waiting.

It's really nice to move back onto the autobahn with crypto-currencies. There are only a few slow days.

On the slow days, pull yourself away from the computer/tablet/phone, crack open a cold beer and cook a fabulous meal.

lol, I love the analogy!

Really glad you're back on the Steemfat regimen. It's incredible how much better you feel when you exercise and eat right. the dtube app is amazing! a decentralized youtube on the steemit blockchain can draw in many more people than steemit by it's self. me thinks exciting times lay ahead. :)

Awesome black T-shirt @exyle sir, you looks great in this black t-shirt and what a nice black dog you have really faithful, as far as static crypto currencies are concerned i think now on they should starts to move in upward direction and you are right it's pretty irritating once they stand still, and you also talk about D-tube wow i really impressed with D-tube not only that it strengthened the steemit blockchain but also it has really great video experience for me, D-tube video pixels and quality is awesome.

Dtube quality is amazing so far.

I am currently trying to watch silver, Steem, and bitcoin in my portfolio. I watch the markets and do as you do. I post and watch... post and watch...

Yes, I actually agree. Even though it's really just been a week, it feels rather dull in the world of crypto. I am still hoping Steem will go down a bit more so I can buy some at a good price. A price below a $1.00 preferably close to $0.80 would be a fantastic buy point.

Bitcoin has already gained more thank 5% today and Dash has gained 15%. NEO and IOTA are creating new highs everyday.. there is lot of activity in cryto space...we are living in one of the bright times of Blockchain and crypto currencies, where we see rapid changes everyday.

Cryptomarket is and will remain unpredictable..great video and keep up the going to gym ..health is wealth

Nah ini baru mantap keren di ......

Great post. I dont agree with everything you say but you have some great point ...

Hey man, sorry for the off-topic, but what is your opinion on bitconnect. I'm gathering some opinions on the matter and thinking of writing a post on it. Thank you in advance :)

Cryptomarket is really boring this time, but will come up when bitcoin price stabilize

They need to fix the dtube site goes down often. The bitcoin train needs to calm down a little bit.

I also bought various altcoyns, and I like watching how they grow or fall in price :)

awesome as usual!

An interesting story from you, you tell it passionately, I love your way ^^

"I'm using youtube this time. Hopefully for the last time." Go Dtube! ;D Gonna take some time though before its all propely working.

I was feeling really fortunate this summer because of where I live. Lot's of hills , lot's of no hills. What ever takes your fancy. Walking some hills yesterday I was thinking that some people have to use tread mills. Thanks for your video, it reminded me again of my good luck. I haven't checked out Dtube but yeah it's the way to go for greater independence from the dark side.

The Dream is not that far!
You're doing everything right! Don't rush too much. Keep your head cool lol.

Thanks for post
When do you think will Steemit notifications be back?

great :)

@exyle,
Yeah, at the moment crypto market seems little bit complex. Some new coins are coming to the market and capturing the top 10 places as well. I don't know whether they could hold those positions or not.
Now it's a trend, a lot of ICO lovers are out there and again feel complex too. Some coins just pop up and next day vanished in to thin air. So, personally I wish to stay away from such kind of unstable market times.
Anyway, your points are absolutely correct and thanks for sharing with us. Really appreciate your effort!

Cheers~

I will be looking to buy some crypto once i see come consolidation in few of the good names.

@exyle - Sire, this is a nice article. I like it & I think it's a valuable article to all of us. Therefore, I will RESTEEM & UPVOTE your post Sire.
