Making clothes for me is not just sewing but also designing and when you design, it would be very handy if you can sketch/draw. Well, I can not draw and if I try, I need to use an example to "imitate" the drawing. I wouldn't be able to draw from nothing. If I try, it wouldn't look like this image above. So this image above is the best I could.

The image above is the original sketch/drawing from the book that I tried imitating. Mine looks like a witch or something, I'm not sure.

This is a hand I tried to sketch without the help of my fashion drawing book...It looks really terrible. So, I really envy those who can draw/sketch :-). I wish someone could explain me the difference between sketching and drawing because to me they are so similar.

So, if I could draw, I would...

I would make these super pretty art cookies and it wouldn't be a problem because if I could draw with a pencil and I could also draw with royal icing. It takes practice working with royal icing because it gets hard pretty quickly, but when you have talent in drawing, it wouldn't be a problem. If you can not draw like me, it would take hours, many attempts and a kilo's of royal icing.

If you look at the image above, you see some royal icing cookies I made few years ago. I learn making these cookies by simply learning from Youtube tutorials. You can learn so much from Youtube if you want to. I know we also have Dtube, but at this moment there is no tutorial that teaches me anything that interests me.

Another piece of edible art, a hand painted fondant cake. I also make fondant cakes but hand painting is really another level. Do you think that everybody can learn to draw? If so, then maybe I should practice more.

This is an Angry Birds fondant cake I made for my oldest sons when he turned 3. It was his request and I prepared the cake toppers 2 weeks in advance because they are so detailed and small, it takes very long to make them. Especially when you never made them before, it will take extra long.

If I could draw, I would paint on my shoes and make them unique and artsy. Probably I would draw/paint on my kids's shoes as well. They would wear it with pride and show off their shoes. I think it would be easier to draw/paint on shoes when the shoes are white and made of a woven material. I really would wear those boots on the streets, especially during spring.

Hand painted fashion, why not? Look at those colours! I love bright colours and this would be so eye catching to wear and especially when people will ask where you bought this jacket and you tell them you made it yourself AND you painted the jacket yourself.

On each wall of each room I would paint something artsy so every room would look unique and I would probably change the art on the walls every now and then so it will never get boring.

So what do you think guys, can everybody draw? Because there are many people who can do it without following any classes.
