The owls like all the animals descend from the dinosaurs but especially this kind of bird, traces its origin in the Afroaves species, the owls or estrigiformes descend from the predator which explains why many of them are predators, they are one of the birds older than they exist at present the fossils date from the Paleocene.Apart from all this as a curious fact in different middle cultures and the Far East, the owl is considered a sacred guardian of the future, dominant life of the night, a seer and guardian of the souls in transition from one plane of existence to another . In Ancient Greece the ancient Greeks attributed the owl to Athena, the goddess of wisdom and foresight.
