For many years, I didn't listen enough to my body and I regretted it.
But, it's NEVER TO LATE!

Your body is your vehicle for all your life and a serene mind is nothing without a healthy body. So take time everyday to take care of him.
Since 1 month, I try to do 20 minutes of yoga and 10 minutes of meditation each day. And I already see my stress lowered.

1. Yoga

The word "Yoga" comes from "jug" which means to connect, join, unite, ####put together: the body, the heart and the spirit.
of body and mind that includes a wide variety of exercises and techniques.

This discipline used physical postures (called asanas), breathing practices (pranayama) and meditation, as well as deep relaxation (yoga nidra).

ASANAS (or posture):

Asanas are the postures that help you keep your body healthy. By massaging the internal organs, you remove the tensions and improve their function. You relax your spine, your muscles and your joints.

PRANAYAMA (or breath control):

Respiratory techniques are important. The breath allows the body, the cells and therefore the organs to oxygenate. This allows the nervous system to balance and put you in touch with more subtle energies (such as solar energy, lunar energy).

DHARANA and DHYANA (or concentration and meditation):

This practice seeks to stabilize the mind by avoiding it to go back to the thoughts and everyday concerns. She will develop an awareness of the present moment, which will allow the mind to release all the tensions and to be immersed in an inner appeasement.

India is the land of origin of yoga: its history is closely linked to that of Indian civilization.

It is a discipline elaborated since the most ancient antiquity to help the human beings to cross the suffering, and to find the unity and the joy in their body and their soul. Yoga is part of one of the six major philosophical systems of India. It's a darsana, a term that means to look at the world.

Yoga is available to everybody! You even YouTube videos for beginners. This practice is recommended for people suffering from back pain, or for women before and after their birth. And like me, for all people who want to relax their body.

For me, the best moment of the day is the morning. After my black tea, I enjoy 20 minutes of yoga.

2. Meditation

Meditation is a practice to calm the mind by focusing attention on a single object (ex: breathing). Once you have calmed your mind, you can develop your inner vision (insight) to gain an understanding of the true nature of the body and mind.

Just take care of yourself and your mind,
Live the present moment fully,
Live better by accepting one's balances and imbalances.

Meditation is a Buddhist practice but has lost its religious connotation.

Meditation allows you to have a deeper understanding of your body and mind. If you can control your mind, you can prevent it from taking the wrong path; the one that leads to suffering. Meditation provides the answer to how to create happiness without spending money.
In summary, the person who practice daily meditation develops in time the highest qualities of the spirit.

The best time of the day for me is the night before sleep. I use a French application that is fantastic for beginners. It's called "Little Bamboo".

These are 10 minutes recordings with effective and simple mindfulness techniques. I see the positive effects little by little. I feel less stressed because I control my mind better and better. Try! You can do it everywhere (in the subway, in your bed, at work during a break ...). You will not be disappointed!

Thanks my friend! Try with an apps in your language! you'll see it's motivating and it's only 10 minutes! if you want to succeed, you have to put a meditation time into your daily routine. Consistency is the key ;)

I falled in love the pictures. It is giving courage to do yoga. I tried it 2 years ago but actually I couldn't manage it. However meditation is a wonderful key to feel powerful and inner peace. It really changed me..

My photographers are good :D! Thank you for sharing your experience! As I am hyperactive, meditation is more difficult than yoga for me ... But the important thing is to try and find the right method or the right teacher! Namaste ;)

Yoga and meditation help maintain physical and mental balance and should be followed by as many people as they help maintain health.

I'm totally agree with you! And we should teach this to children at school!

Hats off from an Indian for practicing yoga, pranayam and dhyan. Many people here are stuck in a rat race of working 24 X 7 X 365.I also neglected exercise and paid the price.Now I have started practicing yoga.
