The perks of being a baker

Hey Steemian,

These days found me thinking of the recent changes of my life and decisions I made, especially in my last 2 years.
Maybe, I’m more preoccupied about this cuz tomorrow I’m turning 32!

Changing my career/job had been one of the best decision: from a marketing manager to a baker. Creativity involved in all areas!
I always loved to bake, but I would never imagined that this would be my future. I’m happy about it and I find it more challenging.
And it is fun, too!

1. You get instant gratification! Yeaah, we all want it!
2. You become more popular! I’m gonna be a star soon, next to Ottolenghi 😀💪
3. People treat you nicely. I get it: my tarts are made of heaven and they are surprised that an young person can bake! I’ve been baking since I was 12
4. You can use your creativity and be an artist! I don’t follow recipes 100%, I always add some “Catalina’s magic”.

1. Yours friends will visit you more often! For food, of course
2. You can be a therapist! Who wouldn’t cheer himself up, after eating a piece of brownie? Some of my customers share with me very interesting life stories.
3. Everybody tells you that you smell good and delicious! 😀 I must confess I don’t like this too much, but what can I do?
4. And the most important: you can bake your own birthday cake with all the ingredients you love! For my cake, I used a lot of butter, walnuts and coffee!
