You believed in Santa so badly you cried when you found out, there‘s no nice guy watching at you and bringing you presents. No need to be good in front of some invisible supernatural power anymore.
It was probably a shock to discover, your beloved and smart parents aren‘t always right. No need of authorities anymore.
Can you remember the first “miracle” in your life? Was it real magic or can you trace the reasons for its realization back in time and through all that independent circumstances, which led to it? So, maybe you have understood that „good luck“ is one part doing the job and one part resourcefulness.
And you decided to do the job, work hard and never miss a good chance. And there comes the quantum physics and tells you there are dependencies, which our human mind can hardly understand. So now you‘re trying to govern your thoughts in the right direction, have faith and be patient.
Hm. What‘s the difference between this and Santa? Where’s the line between blind faith and the one, based on (some) facts and science? Especially when science is also not always right…
There are lots and tons of things in this Universe we do not understand. Should we believe only in the explained ones or should we lean and trust every theory what goes around? Should we go round in the circle or make an upward spiral of it?
I think the difference is in our ability to ask questions, be suspicious and put our brains to use.
What are your thoughts?
P.S. Do you miss the time you believed in Santa and life seemed so simple?
