I get the concept and have lived it in my life and it is always interesting to notice that a lot of people love to see this risk taking, action, life on the edge stuff in "The Movies" where they can live it out vicariously in their minds, but when confronted with "it" in real life tend to shrink from it in my experience. It is a bit like the fight or flight mechanism in us, and the third never discussed response, The "stunned Mullet" the one that freezes in terror that would get eaten by the dangerous animal. The real issue is that so many of us think the world is normal or controlled and when the SHTF they choke as they cannot comprehend that Mother Nature doesn't play by those rules at all! I will never forget the day I ended up staring at the wrong end of probably a dozen gun barrels and the voice inside me said "don't move or you will be lying in the gutter" - a different kind of stillness but the message saved my life that day and I guess that voice is the one to listen to and remember as we live our lives............sometimes we only have those moments that define us, so pay attention and live!
