THE Book of Superlatives

How is it that the Bible is the book with the most superlatives any worldly author could ever dream of?

Let's see......Some amazing Bible facts :

  • It's the undisputed bestseller of all times,
  • Has been translated into most languages of any book,
  • Holds the world record of being the most banned book ,
  • It's the most challenged and misunderstood book,
  • The most riveting thriller compilation,
  • It had and has the most significant impact on humanity
  • It contains the most accurate recorded ancient history,
  • It has been penned over the longest period of time...
... to name a few. There are more! The Bible really is a book of superlatives.

Would you agree?

The Bible is a compilation of 66 books, penned by 40 writers - and one Author. Her oldest book is JOB, her last one is Revelation.

Language - Please

As we will see in my God proof below - that is if you stick around long enough...

...studying the Bible and referencing her original language is important. Why is that?

Because many translations are subjective interpretations, rarely accurate translations at all. Some popular publications freely interpret the original language, others leave out verses, even parts of chapters.

To make research life a little easier - there is an app for it, too... 😇

Great tools to research the Bible are Logos Bible software (paid) and free online Blueletterbible.org. I use both regularly...

Proof Revealed

Genesis 5 - the Mystery PhoneBook with 🚚 Delivery Service

What if I told you that the first coming of Christ is hidden in he pages of Genesis 5?

The New Testament is in the Old Testament Concealed.
The Old Testament is in the New Testament Revealed.

Dr. Chuck Missler

When we look at Genesis 5, we are prone to fall asleep reading the translated words and names. In it, painstakingly listed, is the genealogy from Adam to Noah, from creation of man -- all the way to the flood. 🌊

Between you and I, it reads like a phone book.

You see...

...I studied the Bible with the Kononia Institute - and took courses by Dr. Chuck Missler, a scientist, a former U.S. defense contractor and a Christian Scholar like no other. A Scientist...

In one of his courses, Survey of the Old Testament - I used Genesis 5 for a term paper. I am as impressed about the secret knowledge it reveals today as I was back then!

Are You Ready?

Genesis 5 - Go, have a peek first - so below comes into context... Here to Genesis 5

So, the question before me was this:

How does Genesis 5 show evidence of design from outside our time domain?

How can we use this to prove the truthfulness and faithfulness of the Bible?

Consider the table below. It lists the names of the genealogy from Adam to Noah in Column 1.

Next the 'translations' - which are simply transliterated names, discarding the meaning of the names. In Hebrew culture, names have great significance.

The names foretell the coming of Christ in Genesis.

Why is it that the translators did not translate but merely transliterate? Non-Understanding?

Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow; (but) The Blessed God shall come down, teaching His (God's) death shall bring the despairing comfort (and) rest.

Here, we have the message of Salvation and Redemption hidden away in Genesis 5. This also proves that Redemption was not an ad-hoc decision made by God when sin manifested on earth. God knew all along. Redemption always has been part of God's plan. Jesus agreed to His Sacrifice on the Cross before creation, yet His suffering was not a tragic accident of history: It was an achievement.

The Genealogy in Genesis 5 teaches us that Christ can be on every page in the OT if we look hard enough to find Him.

There are many reasons I know the Bible to be true. One reason is the realization that the Bible is indeed an integrated message system with several coded messages, where the NT is in the OT concealed and the OT in the NT revealed. The Bible is consistent and is backed up by historical events and archeological finds -- such as the Dead Sea Scrolls.

In order to truly unlock 🔓 God's secrets He has masterfully laid before us, we need to spend time studying 📚 His Word. Only then will we be able to understand our Creator -- and the world around us.

The Odds

It is simply mathematically impossible to assume that over 10 generations lasting hundreds of years each, the naming of ancient descendants was a conspiracy added to Genesis after Christ - or that Moses could have consciously known about our Redeemer - coding it into Genesis 5. Any Mathematician would like to calculate the odds? They are astronomical.

Amen! It's the world that would have us believe otherwise.

You say that the Bible is historical events and archaeological findings, mentioning the Dead Seas Scrolls.

Did you know that most of the people who were charged to do the Dead Sea Scroll translation were well-known Christians who had, as a job, to translate it in such a way that it would conform to the Christian belief system?

I would like to share a different perspective on the deal. You can follow the link here: John M. Allegro - Dead Sea Scrolls Cover Up

Joght M. Allegro main idea is that Jesus was a metaphor for the psilocybin containing mushrooms. Which I have ingested different times, which provided teachings for me that are a lot more resembling of Jesus than Christianity itself.

But if that may be true or not, it is not for me to say. But if you want to know what I believe about the Bible and Jesus, and the whole deal, you'd have to listen to Neville Goddard. Especially this lecture: "Consciousness is the Only Reality".
I'll quote 2 initial statements of that video, just to give off an idea.

  • "Let me state now that the Bible has no reference at all to any persons who ever existed or to any event that ever occurred upon earth".
  • "The ancient story tellers were not writing history but an allegorical picture lesson of certain basic principles which they clothed in the garb of history, and they adapted these stories to the limited capacity of a most uncritical and credulous people."

Any way, it's great to be able to share each others perspective in a way that not one of us is placed on a log and burned alive. hahah

Just kidding, but I did enjoy your post @globocop. Followed :)

Interesting reply - thanks @cipriang, and thanks for the links.

Of course, the authors linked to are biased against the Bible the same way I am convinced by it's supernatural origins.

It is well established by historic scholars that Jesus was a real person who lived according to the times documented in the Bible.

We also have Herod the Great of Rome and Cesar, not to forget Pontius Pilate. They existed... :)

As for allegorical story telling, the Bible has an answer for that, too:

  • A man can only be born again in his Imagination (which is God).
And to be born again, you have to recognize that your own Imagination is God.

  • That's the only way that you can Please Him. Being aware of His Presence within you and within every other man.

  • Once you know it, you will not use it carelessly again. You will value Him (Imagination) as your most precious thing, because it is.

All of these beautiful Bible quotes that I now read, they make sense for me from my view point. I can see what Neville meant, and I can understand the deeper meaning.

It's so great to have found Steemit. I wasn't able to have these amazing conversations before. I am truly grateful. :)

Those who don't have a relationship with God, and I am not talking about religion, will surely call it imagination. The nicer ones for sure.

The point of the post was to show proof that the Bible is not the product of man's imagination - but was inspired by God, breathed into man's spirit by our Creator.

Thus, it is not an accident that the Hewbrew word for Breath - is ruach: Spirit.

2 Tim 3:16 (KJV)
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

We do believe the same thing. For the most part.

I totally agree that the Bible was inspired by God and I totally agree that all scripture is given by inspiration of God.
And when I say God is your Imagination, it is not to undermine anything ever said about Him. The contrary is true.
When you learn to appreciate your own Imagination and only to feed it that which is Good, Divine and of a Pure Nature, then you will Know Heaven on Earth.

I would Love to have a live conversation one day with you. Just to be able to share more of each other insights. :)
