My baby first ceremony as a Balinese Hindu

As you know, when I married my husband I became Hindu, and so is our little girl . Balinese Hindu life is all about ceremonies . They have ceremonies for everything, for the iron, for the books, for the nature and also for the different stages of life . Before a baby reach one year old, he will have to go though 3 big ceremonies !!

Today I will share the day of Julia 's first big ceremony, the 42 days one :

the whole family came for this special event. We all gather at my mother in law house in Denpasar.

We said Hi to everyone and Julia quickly disappeared in one of her aunties arms. Balineses love kids and as soon as a baby enter a house, whoever is there will straight away take the baby and play with him/her, proudly showing off (even more It the baby is mix). @carodebali

@carlos-cabeza.

I paint plastic toy soldiers! #2

Nope.. still doesn't sound like something any girl would like to hear on a first date. After the success of my previous post for painting minis I decided to do it regularly until I run out of material (even though I always have new projects.. posts will probably just come out slower). As I am quite new to this I don't even know what happened but my last post just exploded in a matter of minutes and what I learned after a small investigation was that a 'curators guild' has found me worthy and upvoted me to the sky. Thank you to whoever is doing that because it is so motivating finding out people appreciate your work.. To think I didn't even want to post anything that day and decided to do an hour and a bit before work.. almost got there late. @george-topalov

Motorcycle travel series by @velimir 'Sisak 7' (Part #43)

I walk to the river side of the 16th century fortress. It is a triangle shaped structure with a tower on each corner. On top of the walls are wooden constructions leading from one tower to another. The entire structure is full of window openings used for surveying the surroundings and defending from attackers. @velimir

Monsoon Ride to Charmadi Ghats! (Western Ghats) | WandererOnWheels Adventures Episode 8

My friend Pratik had come down riding from Mumbai after staying there for years. It had been two months in Mangalore and he had been craving for a ride. He didn't know many people in here so he had been requesting me to go on a ride since a long time. I was never able to ride with him because of my busy schedule in the past month which also explains my absence or irregularity on Steemit. @wandereronwheels

Amazing View from the Las Vegas "High Rollers" Observation Wheel.

Bigger than both the London Eye, and the Singapore Flyer, this giant Ferris Wheel just off The Strip in Las Vegas, reaches 550 feet into the sky. Each of the 28 cabins can take up to 40 guests on a slow 30 minute rotation to take in the views of Sin City. Some of the cabins even have a bar and free-flow drinks for a little extra cost. We took a ride on the wheel last night, and the lights of Vegas from high above in the evening are truly breathtaking. I hope you enjoy my pictures. @bkkshadow

Women of the World #10 - Clarice in an Abandoned Theme Park Bali, Indonesia

Today I want to share the results of a shooting I did in an abandoned theme park in Bali. Beautiful Clarice from Canada has a full time job as a stewardess but was on vacation on the Island of Gods. We went to that park which is incredibly mystic but also rewards you with 1000000 mosquito bites. When retouching the pictures, I had to get rid of a lot of black spots on her skin and after I had wondered about their origin for a while, I saw that those were actual mosquitos sitting on my model...
Enjoy! @mrwanderlust

Bali made me hungry for more - Because you eat with your eyes first | Food Porn Balinese Style

When someone asks me what fascinates me the most about Bali and Indonesia, I definitely have to say: the food. The meals are not always special or fancy, but the Balinese people put so much love into the arrangement on the plate, which is simply amazing. @baliflicker

Shooting - Maik in Wuppertal, Germany

A few days ago, a guy named Maik texted me in Instagram. He said he liked my pictures a lot and asked for a paid shooting. We agreed on a price and figured out a place to shoot in my hometown Wuppertal.

This was the first time a private person approached me online and asked for a paid shooting, so I was very happy. We met, got along very well and had a lot of fun taking pictures together.

I just wanted to share that experience and some of the results. Tell me what you think about the color look, I need some critique. I feel like I created something looking a bit 3D... Enjoy! @mrwanderlust
