Tone it Down Randy. "I Won't Because I Can't!"

in life •  7 years ago  (edited)

Over the Last Few Months the Interwebs Have Tested My Last Dam Nerve.

Everywhere I turn online I am bombarded by vast amounts of content meant to deceive and evoke a reaction from the people. This has caused my blood pressure to spike on more than one occasion. I have actually broke my cardinal rule multiple times and joined in the noise.

Whether it is the senseless missile strikes in Syria, Second Amendment rights in the USA, Taxation, immigration crackdowns across the world, education, vaccination, murder of Palestinians by Israel, American cops shooting first and getting acquitted or people I know shilling laws they know nothing about. I have had enough of people telling other people how they should live and what should be allowed. Everyone is bickering while innocents are dying.

All I Would Like is People to Live Civilized.

In my mind it is quite simple. We are all citizens of this world. I am ok with what you or anyone else chooses to do as long as it does not have a negative effect on my family. The second you choose to force something whether through your words or through the use of government coercion we will have a problem.

"Randy, Simmah Down Nah!"

No I won't because over the centuries the masses have chosen to stay quiet as the rights of others have been trampled. As long as your rights are being manhandled it is ok right? Remember the Jewish death camps? The people living nearby the camps were brought to visit the camps after the liberation to see what they allowed to happen in their towns. It was a true travesty. Watch the video and see how the people changed after seeing inside the camps.

Now I Believe If People Allow Atrocities to Happen By Their Government They are Just as Culpable as Those Committing the Murders.

If I stand by as an American and as an US Navy Veteran while my government launches missiles into countries which have not fired a shot at the USA then I would stand just as guilty as the leaders who called for the action. For my military family, "just following orders", is what cowards say.

My History of Calling Out Bullshit By My Government.

  1. I raised my voice in 2003 about the call to go to war in Iraq. I said, "If we attack Iraq we will only destabilize the Middle East. It will be like hitting a bee hive."
  2. In 2011 I was vocal about the atrocities the USA, UK and France were committing in Libya. That country was not looking for war. The countries named wanted what Libya had.
  3. Over the last few years I have been vocal about Syria. As we have seen this desire by the West to oust the President of Syria has caused mayhem throughout Europe and in the Middle East. Once again, where did Assad hurt you UK and USA? Could it be another more nefarious reason?

Libya Before and After.

Should I Stay Quiet?

Sure, I probably should but I couldn't live with myself. I don't have the countenance to sit by while people are hurt because a few psychopaths deem it ok.

I totally agree with you @hilarski.
I am fed up with all this news and it really makes my blood boil, since all these useless wars that kill so many innocent people are just a big lie.
I don't even know if the military really knows what they are fighting for? Since it's just a big lie and it is all about sticking their noses where they don't belong especially like you said, no one is attacking us, so why are we attacking them? What are we fighting and killing for?

Thank you for sharing the story of politics and conflict in Middle Eastern country. I agree with you, should we be silent and just watch on television or the internet, how innocent people should become victims? Though the countries in the Middle East is a developed and beautiful country. But what can we do? We can only pray, hope the country in the Middle East can return to live in peace. Hopefully...

Excellent information sharing, I like your post, thanks for sharing

So true - making everyone upset is part of the agenda at the moment - I have never seen so much utter crap on Steemit in nearly two years.

I think the best way to diffuse this vast mindfuck is to rise above it and refuse to behave like a puppet. Keep in mind that a huge number of the accounts on Steemit are fake accounts set up to generate FUD.

sayangnya, masyarakat dunia hanya diam membisu.

I first apologize to you, because I have an opinion that contradicts the decisions taken by the united states and its allies.

In my opinion, what America is doing now is not very much in line with the peace campaign they are speaking about.

I'm sure, the attack that was done to Syria by reason of the use of chemical weapons is merely a mask.

united states are just looking for an excuse to legalize their military action in Syria.

unfortunately, the world community is silent.

I agree with you Randy. That video of the german war camp was very sad - but I think the difference between then and now is that now we have many mediums of communication to spread the word. In the Second World War things had gotten to the point where one could not speak out. While I think we are far from that now, all these young people advocating for safe speech and spaces are unawarily creating this future for us. This is why it is so important to speak out.

The rule by which I live is simple and should be followed by mire: just treat people like you would be treated yourself.
Just this simple rule would make the world a better place. Mmh sounds like Michael Jackson
