The Mentality Of Saving

in life •  5 years ago

Life is not necessarily about "living for the moment", what plans are you making for tomorrow? A farmer that uses the excuse of hunger to consume his seeds instead of planting them will suffer more hunger when the harvest time comes, because he will have nothing to harvest.

Whatever comes your way, wisdom demands that you need to separate the seed from the fruit. Learn not to consume everything (both the fruits and the seeds). Believe me, challenges do not give note of warning before they come. If you do not have anything to fall back on when that times comes, the challenges may outweigh you.

No matter how hard you pray, you cannot stop the rainy day from coming. What you can do on your own part is to brace yourself up to cushion the effect of the impact it will bring with it.

You must not buy everything because money comes into your hand. You should be able to differentiate what you truly need from what you just want.

planting will always precede harvesting. You do not expect to harvest from where you have not earlier sown. In the same way, if you refuse to make plans for tomorrow, you have just consciously opened up yourself for failure.

It takes a considerable level of discipline to be able to prioritize your spendings. It does not matter how much you earn, without a proper saving in place, it may not be enough for you. With discipline in place, you should be able to know that your saving comes first before spending. That is; you should not save only the remnant of what is left after you have spent, but only spend when you have cut out a part for saving.

The second article I read from you in the last minutes, and I like your way of writing. It is really easy to understand, straight to the point, and comes with lots of wisdom. I especially liked the last sentence, fantastic: "That is; you should not save only the remnant of what is left after you have spent, but only spend when you have cut out a part for saving."
