Investing Asks- Are You Investing Your Time Wisely?

During the summer months, it's nice to get outdoors to get your cardio in. Especially if you don't have that luxury year round. The fresh air, the sun on your skin with a nice breeze sure beats watching TV on an elliptical and going nowhere fast. You also get this feeling of being in your natural habitat, at one with nature almost. Here's a clip of Candy and I out on the trails. I'm rollerblading along side of her. We really enjoy it a lot. This is a double investment also. Investing in a relationship along with your health and fitness simultaneously.

Investing isn't all financial, you have to invest in yourself and others emotionally too, to be truly happy.

Wouldn't you consider your partner a big asset in your life? When valuing their worth in dollars, they are priceless. So why do so many of us fall victim to investing more into work and money than our families? We all need to do some sort of occupation to make a living unless you're a trust fund kid. We start to become workaholics, creatures of habit in this area. Then we begin to cut back the time we used to have for ourselves, family and friends.

Time is the most precious asset in your life. Invest it wisely.

If we look at life as an asset, time is it's unit and we make decisions on how to invest it on a daily basis. We don't even think of it this way, but in essence, we all are making numerous investments or trades in the time market. A movie that depicted this concept beautifully was "In Time", with Justin Timberlake. I've included the trailer below if you haven't seen it. How are you allocating (investing) your time? Do you feel that you have balance between work, friends and family? Between your financial and emotional well being?

Never forget to invest time emotionally with others

Be sure to make time for your partner, your children, your friends and other family. The best way to ensure this capital in the time market is allocated properly, is to plan out activities and events on your schedule. Then you are making that commitment and if something tries to take that time away, you won't feel bad saying that you are already busy. We are constantly having people try to get our time in the time market, don't give it up so easily, it is the most precious asset in the universe after all.

I enjoy going on long hikes, but as for intense cardio I simply hate it. I still do it, but definitely not for the enjoyment. Just because I have to stop from getting fat due to my very slow metabolism. If i don't do it for 1-2 hours twice a day I WILL get fat very fast.
