Remembering Dian Fossey
American zoologist who dedicated her life to the conservation and study of the mountain gorillas of Rwanda and Congo, among others.
In the 80s, the population of these animals was at minimum, bordering on extinction because of poachers.
Thanks to her work, the population of mountain gorillas has tripled.
Dian Fossey 1932 - 1985
"The more you learn about the dignity of the gorilla, the more you want to avoid people"
"Gorillas are almost altruistic in nature. There is very little or nothing if any 'me-itis'. When I return to civilization, I am always horrified by 'me, me, me'"
If you want to know more about her or about the foundation that was created by her work... Or you want to adopt a gorilla:) Check it out
