I defended my PhD thesis yesterday.
And it's still sinking in. It's done. I've experienced so many mixed emotions about this milestone over the past couple days and I need to remember to give myself time to adjust. It's easy for me to want to jump right to the next thing, but this was a huge accomplishment and was my identity for the past 6 years of my life. It's going to take some getting used to and I'm trying to convince myself that I deserve a little break from the grind.
I'm so grateful for everyone who supported me along the way, especially my supervisor, Dr. Molly Shoichet. It was a wild ride and it was definitely the people I had the honour of working with that made it the amazing experience that it was.
Stay tuned ;)

What is next? A kushy European post doc, perhaps? Or dive right into a biotech startup?

Still exploring my options... Might take some time to do some travelling on my own. :)
Any recommendations for companies/labs I should check out for potential opportunities?

Sorry I can't be more help. I don't know anyone who works in biomedical engineering.
