This is the landscape taken from outside my friend's flat / apartment in Singapore.
Went to a friend's house. She is staying on a Public Housing in Singapore on 37th Floor.
Some will know that Singapore is a very Small Island and land are limited and housing grow upwards instead of out. Land is very precious and costly. So each apartment can be between S$500K to S$1m.
For landed houses that have ground to grow some flowers or own garden patch, then it will cost over a million to a couple of millions depending on the size of the land.
So having a garden is a luxury.
My friend planted some flowers on pots just outside her door.
See the message on the next photo. Welcoming anyone that walk past her house to her garden.
If someone put a potted plant on the verandah and it falls over, the owner can be fined or jail if someone dies. So they have to be very very careful. So the flat owners will not want to risk extending their potted plants on the verandah outside their flat.
Below are some of her flowers. Beautiful isn't it. A lot of love and efforts to keep them growing so well.
Another view from outside her house. There are even higher building then her 37th Floor. Never thought to ask her what if their lifts breakdown. Does it mean walking 37 Floors up and down?? I supposed they have to be prepared or hope the breakdown do not happen often.
Hope you all enjoy this post.

Glad she got to improvise gardening in her apartment! And about the lift breaking down - knowing how efficient Singapore is, I think lifts there aren't likely to break down, or if they do, the probability is around 10-15%. I hope I'm right though. I'm just basing on Singapore's outstanding efficiency. 😊
