It's amazing how many people ask themselves "Do I Need This Self Improvement Stuff?" after suffering a setback or some sort. People will buy books on self improvement and spend time on blogs and forums trying to improve themselves, but they don't really take the steps needed to move forward and reach their goals.
Let me ask you a question. If there was an unattainable goal for you what would you want to accomplish? What would your desired end result be? Would you really be happy with yourself if you didn't achieve it? If not then are you really motivated enough to achieve it? You need to have a clear goal in order to get motivated to actually get started.
You know what is funny? It's the people who are always saying they need this or that. Then when they finally do something right it is brushed off as trivial! It's almost like saying "Why bother!" Have you ever noticed that?
So what is self improvement really about? Well, it is about taking your mind to the point where you are comfortable with improving yourself. We all have stuff we want to change about us. Sometimes it is just a question of deciding to put it to the side and stop thinking about it. Other times it can be a struggle but once you do you start getting results.
There are many ways to self improve. Some people go the route of therapy and counseling, others decide to write and pen their own words, and yet other find a mastermind group of friends to brainstorm and come up with ideas! The bottom line is self-improvement is about taking control of your life, your thoughts, and your actions!
So why do we need to take control of our lives? Because it is about taking control of YOU! You are the only person who knows what works for you. You have the power to live the life you have always wanted, because it is YOU who makes it happen! You deserve to live a life full of happiness and fulfillment!
The best thing about self-improvement is that you can start small and grow your success as you progress. There is no such thing as "too little" or "not enough." No one is ever too old to learn new things and become a better person. Anyone can be successful no matter how old they are!
Do I need this self-improvement stuff? Not really! If you know what it is that you need in order to make your life better, you will find that it comes more naturally than if you try to force yourself into a mold you do not want to fit. If you resist what your heart desires and try to fit into a mold, you will probably end up making yourself miserable. Accepting who you are is the first step towards self-improvement.
Do I need this self-improvement stuff? Well, the answer is not. Anywhere in this book you will find suggestions and tips for how to improve yourself without having to spend a lot of money on motivation, books or products.
