The story of creation stipulates that man in its original state is not destined to die as what we all have heard of from the story in the Bible, before the fall of Adam and Eve, they were not mortal beings. Through man's intimacy and relationship with God, He appointed us as the core of everything eventually, we enjoyed the privilege of having dominion overall of His creations. It was only after such relationship with God was stained by sin, when our ancestors transgress the law -- that death came into the picture of man's existence.
Sin alienated man from his original justice -- an intimacy with his Creator. So, aside from the fact of the nature of the body which is subjected to death after the separation with soul, sin became the second nature of man's death. Philosophically known as the death of the soul. -- Aside from the death of the body (first death).
Although having repeatedly said that the soul cannot die by virtue of its immortal nature, it is dead by the fact that it has lost its communion with God, who gives life to the soul so that it can give life to the body. Being attached to our cravings and desires, it allows us to initiate crime, sin is therefore the cause of man's deeper tragedy -- that is death.
Detach oneself from being inclined to worldly cravings, and only then will one be free from becoming a slave to sin. Even the great thinker Socrates once said,
"All rational beings were once pure intellects in the presence of God, and would have remained so forever that they had not fallen away through /koros/ or satiety."

Establish a World of Victors"
My reaction
After reading this article I realize that commiting sin is a nature for us. All I can do in order to minimize this nature action is to do good things to other people. Volunteering to charity program is one of the best example.
