It is known as the flower of love, the most used on Valentine's Day, they are aromatic and their petals have a soft and delicate texture.
What woman does not love roses?
Today I want to share with you my love for roses.
The rose is a flower belonging to the family of the Rosaceae, they are called in this way because in Latin "rose" means "flower of the rose". The rose bushes are thorny shrubs that reach heights of 2 to 5 meters in height, if they are of the climbing type they reach up to 20 meters, also have stems of rough and scaly texture. They are hermaphrodites which means that these plants possess the male (stamens) and female (pistil) organs in the same flower.
It is generally said that roses represent love, although its symbolism varies according to the number of petals and their color: red for passion, white for purity, blue for the impossible, golden for power. They are also related to spring, regeneration, pride, victory and mysticism. In reality, there are innumerable interpretations that depend on the historical and cultural context. Just as numerous are the myths and legends that try to explain their origin. According to researchers, the origin of roses dates back to the Greeks who, in their exploratory journeys, took these flowers to the rest of Europe. Culture and mythology played their part by adopting the rose as a symbol of some goddesses, passion and love.
The rose is the most used plant in the gardens, such is the fame of this plant that is among the best selling flowers in the world, next to tulips and carnations.
