STEEM IN THE SKY AT AIRVENTURE!
Well fellow Steemians, it is time for the annual EAA AirVenture. There will be an increase in air traffic around our area as this small town hosts the worlds largest airshow / fly-in. Wittman Regional Airport tower becomes the busiest control tower in the world for 1 week. There will be lots to share from AirVenture this year I'm sure. The Blue Angels are supposed to be making an appearance! Along with one of the largest gathering of Warbirds, the event always has some surprises in store. I remember actually seeing a B-52 fly over, the SR-71, the Concorde.
They always put on an excellent Saturday afternoon show that includes a WWII tribute and Pearl Harbor reenactment which includes real pyrotechnics. You can watch as the era accurate planes dogfight overhead. If you ask me it's just cool to see the planes themselves. It is neat to think our elders, at a ripe 17 - 23 years old, went to war in the machines you can still see fly today.
There is never a dull moment on the grounds, and there are always quaint people in town to people watch. If you find yourself around the Oshkosh, WI area at the end of July, stop out to see the airshow!
