Every single morning that we get to wake up and open our eyes - is a true blessing. It is another chance, another day, another opportunity to be a better person than we were the day before and a fresh take at achieving our goals.
There are always going to be situations and circumstance that momentarily de-rail us (or at least try to), and taking note of these instances is equally as important as enjoying the beautiful ones. Those trials are our greatest teachers and they too are blessings.
Everything in life is about balance.

We need to experience both sides of the spectrum in order to grow as individuals. If we were not continuously exposed to both, we would become stagnant.
If I had not endured the hurts, pains and challenges that I have throughout my life - I would never have developed the levels of empathy, compassion and understanding that I have. No, I am a far cry from perfect... we all are, and we falter repeatedly, but this does not mean that we are not growing. It does not mean that our souls are not beautifully blossoming... because they are!
Every step along the way, we develop a greater understanding for what life is really about. We learn that we are not physical beings, we are spiritual beings having a physical experience.
Our entire purpose as we walk through life is to explore and cultivate our heart and soul - and finding our way through hurts, pains and challenges is the most effective route to that place of growth.

So true @jaynie! Life really is about growth and learning, isn't it?
Without heartbreak, how would we truly understand love? Without anxiety, how would we truly understand peace? Without pain, how would we truly understand pleasure? For every force there's an equal and opposite one, and it's up to us to really listen to those lessons in life so that the bad ones don't continue to be repeated. I believe life gives us little flags and if we choose to see them and learn from them, they're not repeated, but if we choose to not listen or see them, then life throws bigger ones our way until we do.
I guess it's all about really living and not just going through the motions.
Thank you for what I'm sure, is a valuable lesson or reminder for many :)

I totally resonate with this. It's so beautifully written @jaynie. Challenges are indeed are greatest teachers. We never really learned from our successes. But in facing challenges head on, we learned and we grow. And most of all, we learn to be grateful that everything we have ever achieved up to this point, is never through our own effort but through the one above
