HAPPY HIPPIE QUOTES #78 - MISTAKES

in life •  7 years ago

If people refuse to look at you in a new light and they can only see you for what you were, only see you for the mistakes you've made, if they don't realize that you are not your mistakes, then they have to go.” ― Steve Maraboli

Over the years, I have always done my best not to judge others - or at least to try not to because, well quite frankly – I don't want to be judged either. But why does it seem though that so many people are just completely insistent in pointing fingers at others when they make mistakes - whether large or small... Is it because they are perfect and have never faulted?

(I highly doubt that) Is it because they would prefer the attention not to be on them? Is it because belittling someone else makes them feel momentarily “bigger and better”? Well who the hell knows – But whatever their reason, I think they all need a massive wake up! Life is fleeting and those that do not take the time to learn the “art” of forgiveness (yes it is an art) are definitely losing out.

The reality of the matter is that we mess up repeatedly in different ways and to different magnitudes, but unless you want to be judged for your errors… my advice would be that you take a bit of a back step in being so quick to condemn others that do too.

Take a moment to remember just how imperfectly imperfect YOU are before you wag that finger ;)

WHAT IS HAPPY HIPPIE QUOTES ALL ABOUT...

People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily! – Zig Ziglar

I am a total sucker for anything motivational and/or inspirational, I often spend a good amount of time browsing quotes online to share with followers on various other platforms so I figured why not make it a daily habit here on Steemit too ;)

Despite the fact that I am a complete and utter tech junkie and I love so much about our modern world - (yes, there is a lot that I DON’T like as well… but keep up people… this is a happy hippy post), I have often considered the fact that I might have been born in the wrong era.

I have an insatiable love for anything 60’s!

So here I sit - in the 21st century, perhaps minus the bell bottoms but definitely not without the happy spirit, excessive array of colour (everywhere) and juuuuust a few gadgets to boot…he he!

Welcome to…

HAPPY HIPPIE QUOTES

Until next time...

Much Love from Cape Town, South Africa xxx

~Love your curves and all your edges
All your perfect imperfections
Give your all to me
I'll give my all to you
You're my end and my beginning
Even when I lose I'm winning
'Cause I give you all of me
And you give me all of you, oh oh~

This is what I completely relate to. Yes, each one of us is sometimes a little judgmental but I think when that happens, it is best to keep your thoughts inside and ponder on them instead of thinking out loud. I hate it when people have verbal diarrhea and mostly people here do. They think out loud and cannot stop spewing venom on others. Happy to have found a happy, accepting person like you here :)

Aaaah thank you for your wonderfully kind words angel xxx

<3

nobody wants to be judged but at the end we all do it. It's hard not to judge. Whenever I catch myself judging I try to see it in another perspective. I hate judging >.<

Its the best approach to life!

i liked this post because it s a great post....may be i reasteam you

Thank you :) and yes you may.

may be a question dear

its the biggest irony... we want to judge others but don't want to get judged.

The sad human condition!

The pot calling the kettle black.

Those who condemn others show their problems.
I see my weaknesses only through other people and it bothers me
That's why I condemn others.

Well said @nirgf

I agree with you, people will tend to do mistakes, its part of our life and it can't be neglected. But we have to learn accepting mistakes of others kindly, becuase most of the time mistake is unintentional and our actions are depended on our thoughts and our thoughts are influenced by internal and external matter, internal means your own perception towards people and external means perception of others towards you, if both are positive then we can make our lives easy by mutual understanding.

Thanks for sharing.

Have a great day and stay blessed.

Beautifully said - thank you!

Thank you and welcome.☺

Mistakes are the biggest teachers in life, if we know how to get the right wisdom out of them.

Oh yes indeed! They most certainly are!

I'd love people to judge me because it's " Free criticism= Free improvement ". Otherwise, you have to spend money for these so called grooming classes which are quite frankly a rip off in my opinion.

Good Perspective :)
